ABC's of Travel: Best Beer

Welcome to my blog series the ABC's of Travel! The 1st of each month I will take you through some of the most interesting things that have happened to me while traveling A to Z. Last month's post was for the letter A, Age of my first road trip. This month I tackle the letter B, in the best beer I've ever had!

I have to admit that I am not very well versed in alcohol! I drank a lot in my early 20's but as the years have dragged on, it is true what they say about your body not handling it as well as you get older. I have gone from drinking vodka cranberry's to whiskey shots and hard cider.

On my bucket list for going to the U.K I have to try a pint of every hard cider from different regions as I can. Please share if you've tried any cider's (exclude ones you can readily find in super markets in the U.S such as Angry Orchard, Strongbow, Woodchuck, etc. I like those but the goal is to try new ones I can't find in the U.S.)  and if you liked them because that will help me generate and refine my list!

However, the best cider I've found thus far was a pear cider called "Wandering Aengus Anthem Pear" at the Blue Palms Brewhouse in Hollywood, CA. It's right next to the Henry Fonda Theater/Music Box venue on the Hollywood Strip.

It's an excellent little place to hangout and "pre-game" before a concert, as it is connected and so long as you flash your ticket, you can go right in as a kind of "skip the line." It's more like you can just drink until the concert starts instead of waiting in the line. I like to think of it as the adult version of waiting in a line for a concert. They also have excellent options for vegetarians and vegans, which always makes me happy being a former veggie.

What is the best beer you've ever had?
What recommendations do you have for me to try?
